Love that you dedicate a post to blankets for boys. As a boys-mum it sometimes really bugs me that the whole world is only into girls stuff when it comes to being creative... Is there a pattern available for the edging of the first blanket?
ReplyDeleteMaree, my mom made the blanket, and she did not use a pattern. But if you want, I can ask her...
DeleteOh yes please! I love that border!
DeleteLove the bright blanket and that pretty edging.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing
Beautiful blankets. I love the borders.
ReplyDeleteI wish you a nice week.

ReplyDeletei would love to know how to make that beautiful border on the bright colored blanket...do you have a pattern you can share..or can share the source? Thanks love your blog!!
ReplyDeleteJennifer: the border is the "Mosaic or Block stitch". I have a pattern for a scarf with that stitch here: http://lanasdeana.blogspot.com/2012/12/mosaic-scarf-pattern.html
DeleteJust make the stitch in the border of your blanket ;-)
Are your blankets for purchase??
ReplyDeleteBeautifull blankets!!!! How many ball of yarn do i need?
ReplyDeleteFor the first one, you need 7 colors, and will have leftover yarn
DeleteFor the second one, just a bit of every color, but 2 balls (of 100 gr) of white, which is also used for the border
Hi Ana. I'm loving Chichi's version of the blanket. Do you have a pattern for it, in particular the number of chains to start, the number of rows, hook size and any other info to help me on my way? Thanks so much! Love your Blog! heather x
