Almost Finished...

(Crochet * Stash-buster)

Just when I thought I was on the verge of finishing my niece’s blanket (The Blue Canvas), I noticed that I needed to make more rows: one row to make it wider, and two rows to make it longer…

I need to make 28 more flower motifs, for a total of 108.

Then I will join them…and make the border.  I hope to have it finished soon…

  1. Ana it's gorgeous! Absolutely love the way the navy blue sets off the flowers. It's fascinating seeing how different colours work as backgrounds in a blanket like this. Enjoy your last few rows even though it's always annoying to discover one has more to do when one thinks one has ached the finish line! E x

  2. It's looking lovely Ana, it's awful when you think you have finished and then realise that you haven't, but you are nearly there and it's going to be beautiful. :)

  3. Ana,

I'm also crocheting such squares, only the 4th row I make from different colours.
Succes with the last part, it's looking lovely so far.

    Grtz,
    Chris

  4. This is gorgeous, and better to finish it up the way you want than to have it finished and always wish you'd done those extra rows (a pain to go back to it when you were probably hoping to get to the border by now instead though!). Love the navy blue for the background rather than black. Can't wait to see the finished results!! Wendy

It takes so much patience to work " beyond " a project .... But it is going to make it so much more special

  14. It is always a challenge to use up those itsy bitsy scraps - and there seems to be a never ending supply of them!. This looks absolutely gorgeous Ana - as usual, your work is a triumph!!

Hello from Belgium, dear Ana ;>)

This is such a gorgeous blanket!
I just discovered your blog yesterday, and found it SO inspirational that I immediately subscribed to it. As a long time quilter, I'm quite "new" to crochet (which I learned long ago with my grandma'). I find A LOT of help in your blog, that you generously fill with clear explanations and I also love your use of colors. THANKS a bunch for all this, dear!
As an exercise, I've just started making your "Fantasy Blanket" -step-by-step- and I'm thrilled.

    See you soon,
    Smiles from my little corner,
    NADINE
