(Crochet *
Stash-buster)
A baby blanket in
granny squares with a daisy in the center.
Una manta de bebé hecha con cuadros de
la abuelita con una margarita en el centro.
All daisies have
white petals, and a yellow center. The
flower then is turned into a granny square.
Todas las margaritas tienen pétalos
blancos con el centro amarillo. La flor luego se convierte en un cuadro de la
abuelita.
I used medium yarn
from my stash (Caron Simply Soft), in the following colors: baby pink, bright
blue, mint green, sage green, baby blue, hot pink, orange, turquoise, lavender
y lilac.
Usé lana mediana (Caron Simply Soft),
en los siguientes colores: rosado pálido, azul brillante, verde menta, verde
mediano, celeste, rosado intenso, naranja, turquesa, lavanda y lila..
Finally they are
all joined together with a final row in white.
Al final, todos los cuadros se unen
con una última pasada en blanco.
The border is
also white, with a touch of colour (using the mosaic or brick stitch).
El borde también está hecho en blanco,
con un toque de color (usando el punto mosaico o ladrillo).
Final Measure: 95
x 95 cms, with a total of 25 granny squares + border.
Medida final: 95 x 95 cms., con un
total de 25 cuadros + borde.

ReplyDeleteAwesome piece of work. A Daisy Blanket is on my to-do list, too. But since there are no babies in sight (except the one of a friend with unknown gender for whom I'm making a ripple) I will have to wait to give it a try.
ReplyDeleteDid you use a Ravelry pattern or where did you get the instructions?
Lovely blanket Ana, so pretty. It's great for a baby but I would love to make a much bigger version and use it myself :)

ReplyDeleteI love the blanket, but would love to see a pattern for the border. I've made the squares many times in the past, but yours is the prettiest border I've seen and I'd love to know how to do it.
ReplyDeleteI am glad you liked the border :-)
DeleteFirst I used the MOSAIC ST. I shared the chart here:
http://www.arteenhilo.blogspot.com/2012/06/3rd-granny-blanket.html
And the final row is the same as the one in my STUDY BLANKET (but with sc instead of the Dc´s)

I hope this helps,
Happy crocheting,
